Last scheduled appointment

Well today was my last scheduled baby appointment. The midwife I saw was very pleased with me. I had dilated more and was completely softened. So she stripped my membranes.....again. She thought that it would happen soon.

Today me and Phil walked the mall again, which we have been doing every day for the last few days. Which always wears me out. So I let Phil go to band practice tonight, since I was feeling fine. About 8:30 I started trickling. So I layed down for 20 minutes and when I got up GUSH!!! I am pretty sure my water broke. So now I am waiting for Phil to get back from band practice so that we can go to the hospital. Woo Hoo!!! Hopefully we will have a baby by tomorrow night. I will keep all updated. LAterz!

Results appointment

Well this morning I had my appointment to find out about all the tests they had given me during the week. And it seems I am OK. I am on the high side of average. Of course. But not enough to do anything.So I am supposed to just sit tight and wait it out. I am getting there though. Tuesday when I was checked I was still 1cm dilated and about 60% effaced and today I was 2cm and 80%. So that is progress. The midwife also stripped my membranes today. So we will see what happens. She said they are going to do it at all my appointments from now on(all 2 that i have left). Although she also said doing this could put me into labor within the next 24 hours...but she didn't know if that would happen.
So that's it for today. Time to go take a rest. Last night my nesting kicked in and it was like I drank a jolt.....got lots of cleaning and putting away done. Phil wasn't to happy...seeing as I wouldn't sit down and just kept going and going. I felt like the energizer bunny. But now I am crampy and tired so off to the couch I go.

Doctor appointment this morning

Well thought I would up date on my progress. Only two more scheduled appointments left, and I am done. It seems that each time I go in something else goes wrong.

Last week I had two tests done 1-the GBS(group B strep)test
2-blood work to test for preeclampsia

Today I found out that I am positive for GBS....which means I have to have antibiotics during labor and delivery.

And then I also had to have another test for preeclampsia. I also had to sit for 2o minutes and have the baby monitored to make sure she wasn't in any stress, which WOO HOO!!! she is doing great. It's just the mommy that isn't. They are worried about me having preeclampsia because I have been having a lot of headaches and high blood pressure,getting light headed and have protein in my urine(geez when I do it I do it good huh). So they are running a few more tests and I have to go back in on Friday for another checkup and talk about the results. Hopefully all will go well, but until then my midwife put me on bed rest. So Skylar is with Gammy and Papa for the week until we find out more. So that was my appointment today. Great huh? I am so ready for Samantha to come out, and depending on Fridays results, they might decide to induce labor or just keep me on bed rest until I go into labor naturally. Guess I just have to wait until Friday.

Baby Shower

Well seeing as Samantha should be arriving within the next month, I decided it was time for her to get her very own blog. It's not right letting big sister get one and not her. So I figured a good place to start would be her first party...the baby shower.

It was on Saturday March seventh. It was lots of fun. Of course there were the oh so great party games.....like whats in the diaper?

And guess the Gerber(that one was GROSS!) but fun, the faces on all that participated were priceless!

Of course there was even a quiz with silly questions about the mommy, with a few thrown in about daddy and sister too.

Then came present time.

Skylar was very happy because she got presents too!!

Although she was having way to much fun with her friend to really care.But she really liked them later:)

The shower then came to an end, it was a great day thanks to all those who helped and to those who came.
